On February 5 and 6, at Abit headquarters in Sao Paulo, Texbrasil (Brazilian Fashion Industry Internationalization Program, promoted by Abit in partnership with Apex-Brasil) began its 4th edition of the Innovation Management Program, executed in partnership with Fundação Vanzolini. The project is aimed at helping participants to improve their business activities, services, processes and/or products through innovation.Twelve companies took part in this round of training:Dellas Lingerie, Sapeka Lingerie, Reptilia, Cynthia Hayashi, Karin Feller, Helen Rodel, Gabriela Sakate, Patricia Assis, Gvallone, Spirodiro, Dini Textil and Innovativ.

The program is made up of five stages:training, initial diagnostics, on-site diagnostics, development of customized innovation plans and monitoring of implementation of the plans at the companies. The first two stages were held at Abit and the rest will take place individually at each company, so that they have personalized support in order to organize their management and leverage their development.”The program opens entrepreneurs’ minds, causing them to perceive that innovation isn’t a complex and burdensome process; to the contrary, slight changes in mindset and processes can, in the short and medium terms, make a huge difference in a company’s performance,” says Karine Liotino, Manager of the Texbrasil Innovation and Sustainability Center.

For Felipe Bortolotti, who is in charge of international business for Sapeka – a lingerie maker exporting to 16 countries – innovation should happen at every phase of the company’s development:”we noticed a need to innovate in both administrative as well as production processes, and we saw that the project would give us the essential ingredients for this, helping us to grow.Based on these lessons, we were able to think of new directions and to expand our projects for the future.”He also added that:”with Texbrasil, we are becoming stronger internally to grow our international business. In practice, we have the chance to improve our strategy, winning over customers in new countries and growing even stronger where we already operate.”

New editions of the workshop will also be offered this semester by Texbrasil. For more information, companies should get in touch with the Program’s relations area by phone at 11 3823-6155.
