2013 Edition of Texfair Home ends with business on the up

On the first day of March, another edition of Texfair Home ended in Blumenau, Santa Catarina.  Being one of the main events of launches in the segment of bed, table, bath and decor, the trade hosted approximately 120 exhibitors, among Brazilian, Portuguese, Turkish, Chinese and Indians manufacturers. The edition was supported by Texbrasil (Brazilian Fashion Industry Export Program), developed by Abit in partnership with Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency), which led to the trade the purchasing company Edcon, from South Africa.

9,000 buyers attended the four-day event. “This edition has fulfilled its role by establishing an enabling environment for the submission of entries and mainly by offering exhibitors the opportunity to add new and potential customers to their portfolios”, says Renato Valim, executive director of the Sintex-SC, organizer of the event.

The variety and design were also highlighted: “Some products that we found at the trade show are exactly those that we seek to serve to the store’s public, formed by people looking for pieces that combine design, fashion and, above all, quality, from the selection of raw materials to finishing”, says Jordana Lorena Blanco, buyer of Edcon.

The trade recorded the presence of buyers from 22 countries: Afghanistan, Angola, Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Bolivia, Canada, Chile, China, Colombia, France, Germany, Indonesia, Italy, Mexico, Pakistan, Paraguay, Peru, Portugal, South Africa, Uruguay and USA.

Newness for 2014

Starting next year, Texfair Home shall occur with Texfair Fashion, knitwear and clothing trade which had its realization extended.  “In addition to creating a critical mass in relation to the volume of retailers, we realized that the resumption of the two events maximizes investments”, bets Ulrich Kuhn, president of Sintex-SC.
