Brazilian fashion is coming to UNIQUE by Mode City and Interfilière Paris, international beachwear, fitness, lingerie and textile trade shows that are being held July 7 to 9, in Paris. The Brazilian delegation at the Parisian event includes 27 national brands that belong to Texbrasil (Brazilian Textile and Fashion Industry Internationalization Program) and Fashion Label Brasil programs. These programs are respectively the result of partnerships between Abit (Brazilian Textile and Apparel Industry Association) and ABEST (Brazilian Association of Fashion Designers) with Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency).

Brazil is taking a more prominent role at this edition of the event, with the show’s organizers honoring the country and major participation from Brazilian brands Amir Slama, Bia Guirao, Bikiny Society, Britannia Textil, Delfa, Despi, Digitale Textil, Maryssil, Recco Lingerie, Rio de Sol, Rosset Textil, Serpentina, UV Line, Agua de Coco por Liana Thomaz, Cecilia Prado, Cia.Maritima, HK Beachwear, Hype Beachwear, La Sirene, Larissa Minatto, Lenny Niemeyer, Marta Reis, Mos Beachwear, Shorts.co, Triya, Vic House and 100% Brasil.

The show is reserving 90 square meters of space to present the Brazilian S/S 2019 collections, with a specially designed trend forum and lounge inside the Trend and Selection area. The look of the Brazilian space was created by French artist Vanessa Batut, working alongside Lidewij Edelkoort, a major figure in the fashion world.

Brazil will also be honored during fashion shows taking place at the show, with looks from Brazilian brands being shown on the Paris runway.

According to Rafael Cervone, CEO of Texbrasil, this is an excellent opportunity to show the entire chain of textiles, inputs and brands to the French market.

“We would also like to thank the organizers of UNIQUE by Mode City and Interfiliere Paris for this special homage to Brazil,” he says.

Paulo Lourenco Bartholomei, ABEST President, also adds that: “we are very happy to take part in this action along with Abit and Apex-Brasil. We are going to show the international high value added product market a creative, innovative and contemporary Brazil, especially in the beachwear and activewear segment – one of the most prominent market niches in terms of exports in the Fashion Label Brasil project.”

UNIQUE by Mode City will also award the “2018 Designer of the Year” to Brazilian fashion designer Lenny Niemeyer, the woman at the helm of the eponymous beachwear brand. “This award is very important for us, because it raises the profile of the Brazilian fashion market. This is one of the most significant and wonderful recognitions we’ve received in the last 30 years,” says Lenny.
