Altenburg

In 1922, Johanna Altenburg started to produce duvets manually to earn her family’s living. From her entrepreneurship, it was born one of the largest industrial companies in Brazil, one that today includes two in Blumenau, Santa Catarina’s (SC) textile cluster, and other in Sergipe, important state in North-Eastern Brazil. Altenburg currently owns five stores, located in Balneário Camboriú (SC), Sombrio (SC), São Bernardo do Campo (SP – São Paulo state) and in São Paulo city, in addition to a factory outlet next to its Blumenau plant and an outlet in Sergipe. As a result of its commitment and dedication over its 90 years, today Altenburg is one of the most important Brazilian textile brands, leader in the pillow segment, producing over 1 million pillows a month. Altenburg products are marketed in more than 20 countries.
