Fabiana Milazzo brings country weather to F/W

10/31/2019

Designer Fabiana Milazzo presented her F/W 2020 collection during SPFW N48, which was inspired by the calm and comfort of a country home. The designer’s eponymous brand is a member of Texbrasil (Brazilian Textile and Fashion Industry Internationalization Program), the result of a partnership between Abit (Brazilian Textile and Apparel Industry Association) and Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency).

Fabiana looked for ways to work with inspirations coming from the environment, transforming plants into prints. The collection features loose and comfortable silhouettes. Traditional fabrics are used: chenille, tweed, viscose, silk mousseline and chiffon, satin and gabardine. In addition, she used sustainable materials, such as organic cotton, PET bottles, Lenzing viscose yarn and recycled naturally-colored cotton.

The color portfolio included variations on earthy tones, like brown, golden brown, brown sugar and natural cotton colors. Also used were saffron yellow, orange, forest green and neo mint, along with several tones of pink, such as hot pink, antique pink and light pink, off-white and black. Prints were also a focus and were made by hand using branches, dry leaves, sticks and wildflowers.
