With a well-established presence in Brazil as one of the biggest fashion brands of the moment, PatBO is taking new flights and betting on the North American market. The brand, which is part of Texbrasil (Brazilian Textile and Fashion Industry Internationalization Program) – the result of a partnership between Abit (Brazilian Textile and Apparel Industry Association) and Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Exports and Investments Promotion Agency) – is about to open its first physical store in the country.

The neighborhood of Soho, New York, was chosen to host the PatBO space. “We chose Soho because it is a vibrant, colorful, fun, and cheerful neighborhood, which are features that also stand out in PatBO’s collections”, comments Marina Pascon, the brand’s marketing manager.
Despite being the first physical store in the United States, the label is already active in the country and other regions through retailers. “We have stores in more than 250 international points”, says Marina.

The Soho store will work on the entire line of the brand – which includes beachwear, decoration, and parties, but with a focus on the casual fashion market. Its product line, by the way, is still expanding, according to Marina, to offer a full retail experience. “We want to take our home line and collabs with partners from other segments such as glasses, bags, shoes, and accessories for the new store”, says the executive.
Among the plans to expand physical spaces, Marina guarantees that PatBO will keep working with partners, and large retailers, and will sell wholesale as well.

Parade in NYFW

Besides the store, another big project in the Big Apple just came through. PatBO presented at New York Fashion Week, one of the top fashion weeks in the world, on September 8th. The brand has already participated in two other editions, but which took place only digitally.

“The invitation came with the perception of PatBO’s consistency in the international market and the time we had been working in several consolidated points of sale”, says Marina.

The brand took its Brazilian essence and characteristic elements to the catwalk. “We created an exclusive Spring/Summer line for the fashion show, a cheerful and vibrant collection, with mixes of materials that connect rustic elements to sophistication”, she comments.

The pieces are available at the Soho store. In Brazil, the looks arrive in January.
