Rhodia and Santoni announced seamless denim for Brazil

02/07/2017

Rhodia, a textile fibers and yarns manufacturer, and Santoni, an Italian company in the seamless area, have worked together to create a collection of seamless stretch denim looks using the Emana® smart yarn, which improves skin elasticity and reduces cellulite, providing comfort and UV protection. This innovation should reach Brazil before the end of the first semester of 2017. The date and location of the event have yet to be announced.

The looks were created following the Athleisure Denim macro textile trend, a new concept that joins sportswear with casualwear, through comfortable clothing that can be worn at various times of day, for athletic activities or day-to-day. Production of the items also included participation by Tonello, which joined the project with low-impact textile finishing machines, using laser and ozone processes, and by Unitin, a supplier of indigo for fabric production.

On the international market, the launch took place during Denim Day at Colombiatex 2017, in Medellin, a show in which Rhodia took part with the support of Texbrasil – the Brazilian Textile and Fashion Industry Internationalization Program, the result of a partnership between Abit and Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency).
