At the invitation of Texbrasil, the Brazilian Fashion Industry Internationalization Program, developed by Abit in partnership with Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency), three international journalists will have an up-close look at the latest in Brazilian fashion during Sao Paulo Fashion Week, the largest fashion week in Latin America. The 41st edition of the event is taking place April 25 to 29, at the Fundacao Bienal Pavilion in Ibirapuera Park.

Paula Mateus (Vogue – Portugal), Akiko (The Senken – Japan) and Joao Paulo Nunes (Huffington Post – England) are the journalists coming to the country to learn more about the country’s creations and to document the biggest trends in Brazilian fashion.

The fashion week is celebrating its 21st anniversary with the theme of “Hands Worth Gold” – discussing the importance of Brazil’s creative diversity and its artisanal processes. The lineup includes five Texbrasil member brands: Apartamento 03, Adriana Degreas, PatBo, Helo Rocha and GIG Couture.

In addition to hosting 39 fashion shows, the event will also have an intense program of activities, including artist exhibits, such as exhibits by Minas Gerais artist Iuri Sarmento and model Nathalie  Edenburg. The schedule also includes a special presentation by designer Fause Haten as part of the “Out of Fashion” project, on April 24 in the gardens of the Ipiranga Museum.
