From April 1 to 4, a group of representatives from the Brazilian companies Döhler, Scanone, Ober, Suominen and Fibertex arrived in Mexico for a roadshow organized by the team at Texbrasil (Brazilian Textile and Fashion Industry Internationalization Program) – held through a partnership between (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency) and (Brazilian Textile and Apparel Industry Association).

The trade mission is aimed at companies in the technical fabrics and nonwoven fabrics segment and the goal is to prospect customers. The biggest differential is that it uses an individual meeting model. For this edition, each company has scheduled an average of 10 meetings with partners.

During the four days of the roadshow, the group of executives is participating in meetings at companies in the cities of León, Aguascalientes, Guadalajara, Puebla, Monterrei and Mexico City.

According to Oliver Tan Oh, with the competitive intelligence team at Texbrasil, the roadshow is a good format for a prospective mission, since executives are therefore able to learn about the customer’s dependencies.

“This allows them to see the real potential of buying from the partner and the products produced. This is a very important point for this segment, since the technical matters are extremely relevant,” she explains.

He also commented on choosing this destination. “It was during a meeting with representatives from the segment that the group chose Mexico. It’s a market with lots of potential since there are very developed technical fabric and nonwoven fabric industries, such as footwear, civil construction, automobiles and more,” says Oliver in closing.
