2Rios takes part in Curve Expo in New York

From July 31 to August 2, 2Rios of Joinville/SC will be presenting its new collection in New York at the Curve Expo, one of the most important trade shows in the beachwear and underwear segments on the east coast of the USA. The brand, which shows the unmistakable sophistication, elegance, joy and femininity of Brazilian women, is a member of Texbrasil – the Brazilian Fashion Industry Internationalization Program, developed by Abit in partnership with Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency).

Aimed at creating democratic lingerie for every biotype, with various styles that can be used day or night, the Santa Catarina-based brand is featuring classic cuts with somber tones, like black, white and dusty pink. The items adapt to the needs of women according to each country.

2Rios is more prepared and confident at this year’s Curve NY and since its first time at the show in 2009 it has set up an office, sales team and inventory on American soil. The brand’s secret was to add value with a unique business model for this extremely competitive market.

With an eye on sustainability, 2Rios currently maintains social projects that include Omunga, Instituto Priscila Zanetti, Rede Feminina de Joinville and Fashion Revolution. The brand also encourages employees and third parties to get training – one initiative is Zero Trash, where everyone is educated on separating waste. “Through small actions we can change the world. Our priority is ethical and verticalized production, where we think globally. We seek to have a transparent and conscientious market, with stories to tell,” says the company’s president, Matheus Fagundes.

The results of these practices have proven favorable: 2Rios exports in the last half were up by over 40% and accounted for approximately 20% of the 200,000 items sold monthly. Expectations for growth show that production should triple in the next 5 years. The biggest news is the launch of an online store in the United States, which is set to launch in 2016.
