Colcci launches jeanswear collection that allows for freedom of movement

06/01/2016

With an eye on comfort and freedom of movement, Colcci is launching its new jeanswear product line, entitled Extreme Power, made using fabrics with surprising elasticity and flexibility, which guarantee high performance when practicing physical activities. The brand is a member of Texbrasil, the Brazilian Fashion Industry Internationalization Program, developed by Abit in partnership with Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency).

The line is different from most of denim launches focused on flexibility precisely because of its fiber mix: instead of elastane, the dual fit technology of polyester is mostly responsible for the fabric’s stretch and return to shape. The synthetic fiber is altered by heat, becoming a liquid, which allows for broad and unrestricted movements.

Items also have a bold style, precisely because the aim was to avoid a gym-type look and instead use the language of jeans. There are shorts, long shorts and skinny jeans with long rises and high waists, developed using points of light and devore; as well as various widths of waistbands. The same goes for menswear, where trousers are fitted and follow the trends of the most popular shapes.

Colcci invited ballerinas and choreographer Erik Fernandes to the making of the campaign, proving the fabric’s performance in the new collection. The campaign was shot by Pedrita Juncks with video by Thiago Jenne.
