Karsten launches patchwork fabric collection

Karsten Atelie is launching a collection of printed fabrics geared towards patchworking, aimed at craftsworkers who work with patchwork and patch appliqués, as well as at creation of decorative and apparel items. The 36 models developed using 200-count percale contain floral, geometric and kids prints. Karsten is a member of Texbrasil, the Brazilian Fashion Industry Internationalization Program, developed by Abit in partnership with Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency).

Patchwork is a technique of working with fabric scraps that joins fabrics of countless shapes and various colors. Historically, this traditional technique harks back to the great U.S. stock market bust in New York in 1929, which resulted in embroiderers using all and any fabric available.

Karsten Atelie products can be found in 5m and 10m packages at industry multibrand stores or at the brand’s online store.
