Brazilian companies show at Denim Premiere Vision
The city of Barcelona is hosting Denim Premiere Vision, an important industry trade show joining exhibitors of fabrics, laundries, chemical products and accessories, in addition to featuring the latest in jeanswear techniques and services, from May 18 to 19. At this edition, Texbrasil – the Brazilian Fashion Industry Internationalization Program, developed by Abit and Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency) – is supporting two Brazilian brands at the event: Vicunha Textil and Canatiba.
“A good trade show is like a catalyst, accelerating interaction with the market. We were able to get in touch with a large number of customers in just two days, something that would otherwise be impossible,” says Thomas Dislich, director of Vicunha Europe and Asia. He adds that: “we don’t go to a show with the direct goal of selling, but rather to have feedback on how launches are being accepted and measure the demands and strength of the international market.”
Among items that will be presented at the show by the indigo and denim manufacturer are: Dryarn denim, which is adaptable to weather variations; the Emana Linea, developed to create a feeling of comfort and well-being; and the Ever Black line of items, with intense black tones and greater color durability. The brand is also betting on Moove Super Stretch, which will bring ideal items to casual and fitness wear, and the retro trend, which will be highlighted among products with a classic feel.
This is the first time at the show for Canatiba Denim Industry, with the support of Texbrasil. The company is investing in the foreign market to stay a reference in this segment, which is one of the most competitive in the international textile industry. The brand also has commercial basis throughout Latin America, the U.S.A. and Europe.
Denim Premiere Vision also hosts a series of seminars on the main trends and key concepts for F/W 2017/18, entitled “Denim Trend Tasting.” At the last edition of the event, around 100 exhibitors attracted visits by 4,500 people, including brand representatives, designers, retailers and other industry professionals. The next edition of the show, which is part of the Premiere Vision group, will take place in November of this year.
