Joulik launches capsule collection in partnership with C&A

05/31/2016

The energy of music and mysticism come together in Joulik‘s first capsule collection for C&A. A show of contemplation and explosion appears on pieces inspired by the stars – from showbiz and the cosmos, a recurring theme in the creative process of designers Karen and Katiuscia Moraes, who are back with new interpretations for the retail giant. Known for its hand embroidered pieces, Joulik is a member of Texbrasil, the Brazilian Fashion Industry Internationalization Program, developed by Abit in partnership with Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency).

The duo uses metallic sequins, beads and stones to bring basic looks out of the comfort zone. With lots of golden and silver sparkle, guitars and radios, phrases, rainbows, planets and geometric prints are found on neutral tones such as black and off-white on shirts, sweatshirts, skinny leather trousers, velvet blazers, leggings and jackets, in addition to a fully embroidered coat. Accessories strictly follow the brand’s rocker bent and are found on boots, ankle boots, black leather gladiator sandals, belts and sparkly bags that can (and should) be used day and night.

“The whole process of developing and executing the collection was so cool. C&A and the entire team were very professional, which gave us lots of confidence in relation to the end result of the collection. Because C&A is a giant and is found nationwide, these collections have a huge repercussion in the media. After this partnership, we hope to reach many people that were not yet familiar with the brand! We developed everything with lots of love and we hope they like it!” say sisters Karen and Katiuscia. The collection hits select stores in Brazil and the online C&A store today (May 31), with prices ranging from BRL 49.99 to BRL 499.99. Also on May 31, the C&A store on Rua Augusta, in Sao Paulo, will host guests for the launch, featuring DJs Giu Viscardi, P.dritas and Marcel Mangione, as well as a pocket show by the Lumen Craft band.
