Fevest 2016 welcomes international buyers invited by Texbrasil
From July 6 to 10, the 26th edition of Fevest – Underwear, Beachwear, Fitnesswear and Raw Materials Trade Show – will feature launches from the Nova Friburgo production center for S/S 2017. The show, which will be held at Country Clube in the city located in Rio de Janeiro’s mountainous region, is showing the latest for this edition: on July 9 and 10, the event will be open to the public at large. In addition, it will have a new ‘Festival’ format, which will include talk shows, fashion shows, trends, the latest in the industry and the production center and social actions.
From July 6 to 8, Fevest will be geared towards business, exclusively welcoming national and international buyers. In an effort to strengthen ties with Brazilian companies and publicize products made in Brazil, Texbrasil, the Brazilian Fashion Industry Internationalization Program, developed by Abit in partnership with Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency), will welcome two international buyers to the show: Perla Caballero, of Astro (Paraguay), and Francesco Quartulli, of Quartulli Milano (Italy).
The event, which gathered approximately 10,000 visitors at the last show, is also attended by seven Program member brands: CCM, Lucitex, Sapeka, Delfa, Terlizzi, Zanotti and De Chelles. This year, Fevest will have around 100 exhibitors, including apparel manufacturers and suppliers. According to the Union of Apparel Industries of Nova Friburgo and the Novo Friburgo Region/RJ – Sindvest, which is holding the event, around 13,000 people are expected to attend, 30% more than in 2015.
