Capricornio Textil celebrates 70 years and launches Winter 2017 collection

Celebrating its 70th anniversary, Capricornio Textil remains focused on what the market has always expected of it: tradition in elastic, satin or more rigid fabrics, with a large variety of blue tones. “We are a reference in the market in fabrics that fit to and shape the body, but that also provides freedom of movement. This is our tradition and customers always expect to see what’s new in this line,” explains the company’s designer, Donata Coradi. The textile company, which operates across the production chain, from sourcing cotton and manufacturing yarns to fabric construction, is a member of Texbrasil, the Brazilian Fashion Industry Internationalization Program, developed by Abit in partnership with Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency).

In addition to elastic fabrics, Capricornio also has 100% cotton denims, in lighter blues that require fewer washes, hitting trends for broader, seventies-influenced shapes. For men, fabrics with 11oz and 1% elastane (Temis) and 9oz with 1.5% elastane (Sintra) allow for a more modern and flexible fit, without making marks, ideal for those that want to go from office to bike, for example. For them, Capricornio also has a super classic line and a fishbone pattern that guarantees elegance for more traditional tastes, with 1.5% elastane.

“Aligning presentation of macrotrends and references from international runways with launches from Capricornio Textil offers a long-term vision of the market, helping production chains and retail to optimize investments,” says Maria Jose Orione, Director of Marketing and Strategic Planning at the company, which invested in a collection that responds to all of the references found by the WGSN trend bureau.

Capricornio is proving to have reinvigorated at 70, with a belief in Brazil and in the market. With three production plants (São Carlos/SP, Natal/RN and Bragança Paulista/SP), the company invested in acquiring a piece of land near the Sao Carlos unit and intends to expand this plant soon.
