Brazilian companies Dalila Textil, Expor Manequins and Santaconstancia did great business at the 2016 edition of Expotextil Peru, held in Lima from October 20 to 23. With the support of Texbrasil, the Brazilian Textile and Fashion Industry Internationalization Program, the result of a partnership between Abit and Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency), the brands did USD 80,000 in business at the show, one of the largest in the industry in Latin America, with sales of USD 670,000 expected over the next 12 months.

For Expor Manequins, participation at the event was extremely relevant both institutionally and commercially. “We had important visits from executives from major chains and lots of attention from the general public. We also found that this edition had a more qualified public,” says Ingrid Pfutzenreuter, foreign trade manager. With its unique fabrics, Dalila Textil arrived in the country with the goal of introducing the brand and its products to the Peruvian market and is also returning with great results. “We were visited by two potential brand representatives in Peru, in addition to getting in touch with a lot of customers,” says Thaisa Montecino, export director.

There were 266 Peruvian and international exhibitors from 24 countries at this edition, introducing the biggest launches in the textile and apparel, leather, footwear, raw materials and machinery sectors during the four days of the show to around 25,000 visitors.
