The 15th edition of Inspiramais – Components Design and Innovation Show, a platform responsible for launching over 900 raw materials for S/S 2018, came to an end last Tuesday in São Paulo. The event, which welcomed a group of seven international journalists and buyers at the invitation of Texbrasil – the Brazilian Textile and Fashion Industry Internationalization Program, developed by Abit in partnership with Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency) – also included participation by ten Program companies: Abduche, Britânnia, Capim PuroInnovativ, Dini Têxtil, Hak Aviamentos, Modelle Bojos, Sultextil, Tecnoblu and Oficina Lamparina. During the two days, the companies did USD 195,000 in business, with sales of USD 2.08 million expected over the next 12 months.

For Thalita Cunha, a Marketing Supervisor at Innovativ, participating in the show and talking to the international buyers were very important for the company. “For our segment of footwear and accessories, this is the time when our customers are looking for new products and trends for their collections. It was 2 very intense days and we made lots of contacts; we left the show optimistic,” she says. Innovativ was also celebrating having received the Transformers Award at the Inspiramais S/S 2018 Inspirations Forum. Another company that ended the event with good future expectations for business is Modelle Bojos. “We were happy with the contacts made through the international buyer project. We even scheduled new meetings with three Colombian companies at Colombiatex, a show we will be at next week,” says Lucas Fontanari, Commercial Supervisor.

Journalist Claudia Martínez of Mexico’s El Universal newspaper was in Brazil for the first time and she said she was impressed by the event’s organization. “I was impressed by how the show showed sustainable materials and thought about fashion as a concept that is also highly focused on the environment and on reusing natural materials,” she said. I liked how the event showed collections and products based on well thought out concepts regarding fashion, lifestyle, consumption, and recyclable and non-recyclable materials,” says Colombian journalist Andres Barreto, of Style America magazine. In addition to checking out the latest at Inspiramais, the international guests took part in a schedule of visits to factories and showrooms at the Rosset, Santaconstancia and Savyon brands.
