Texbrasil participates in the 5th edition of the Copenhagen Fashion Summit
Texbrasil – the Brazilian Textile and Fashion Industry Internationalization Program, the result of a partnership between Abit and Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency) – was at the fifth edition of the Copenhagen Fashion Summit, considered one of the world’s most important sustainable fashion events, held May 11 and 12 at the Copenhagen Concert Hall in the Danish capital.
The goal of this edition is to bring together industry leaders, NGOs, politicians and academics to discuss how the fashion industry can contribute to a more sustainable world, proposing different approaches for this so that the audience discusses this topic with more depth and commitment. Roundtables, plenary sessions, panels, debates and forums are the highlight of the program, as means to foster dialog among the audience and networking.
The event is also presenting The Solutions Lab, an exhibition space with the most innovative sustainable solutions for companies, and The Pulse of the Fashion Industry Report, a study done by the Boston Consulting Group aimed at summarizing the current scenario in the fashion industry, encouraging sustainability from every aspect and providing actionable recommendations for companies across the production chain.
Major names are already confirmed to speak at the event, including Anna Gedda (Sustainability Leader at H&M), Mark Langer (CEO of Hugo Boss), Marie-Claire Daveu (CEO of Kering), Ellen McArthur (Founder of the Ellen McArthur Foundation), Jason Kibbey (CEO of the Sustainable Apparel Coalition), Simone Cipriani (Leader-Founder of the Ethical Fashion Initiative at the International Trade Centre) and Vanessa Friedman (Fashion Director at the New York Times).
