Dragao Fashion Brasil celebrates 18 years of history with international guests

From May 24 to 27, the Maritime Passenger Terminal in Fortaleza, Ceara, is hosting one of the biggest original fashion events in the country: Dragao Fashion Brasil 2017. This edition, which is celebrating the 18 year anniversary of DFB, is welcoming a group of six international journalists at the invitation of Texbrasil – the Brazilian Textile and Fashion Industry Internationalization Program, developed by Abit in partnership with Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency).

Anna Ross (WGSN – England), Sandra Real and Ivan Cuadrado (Alo TV and El Tiempo’s Alo Magazine- Colombia), German Romero (La Tercera Newspaper – Chile), Victoria Lescano (Pagina 12 and La Nacion Newspapers – Argentina) and Patuska Knezvich (Publimetro Newspaper – Peru) are the opinion-makers who will see the latest in Brazilian fashion first-hand during the event, in addition to taking part in a special agenda of visits to the region’s factories and brands.

Dragao Fashion Brasil will have a new format this year, joining equal proportions of fashion programming, training, shows and cuisine – the DFB Festival. Among the highlights for this edition is a thematic homage to Peru, which includes the “Peruvian Soul” exhibit, bringing together images and numbers that illustrate its economic and cultural strength while also serving as inspiration for part of the festival’s gourmet programming.
