Great international business mark Veste Rio’s 4th edition
A group of ten international guests landed in Rio de Janeiro to follow Veste Rio’s 4ª edition, one of the largest fashion platforms in the country, held between October 25 and 29. Invited by the Brazilian fashion export programs Texbrasil, sponsored by Abit, and Fashion Label Brasil, sponsored by ABEST, both in partnership with the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil), purchasers and journalists had the chance to know the main trends of the 2017/2018 Fall-Winter season during the event, in addition to fulfill a special agenda with visits to brands around the city.
Purchasers Ana Brito and Gloria Brito, from chain store Fio D’Agua (Portugal), Daiane Rezende, from Bossa Concept (United States), Bernardo Franca, from Fashion Clinic (Germany), Pamela Schiffer, from the homonymous store (UK), Ana Maria Noble, from Romero Boutique (Uruguay), Georgios Galanis, from Monoi Project (Greece) and Ignacia Echenique, from Enfit (Chile), returned to their countries with business expectations exceeding US$ 1.13 million in the next 12 months, added to US$ 545 thousand in business deals closed during the trade fair.
For Chilean Ignacia Echenique, Rio’s fashion has shown to have a high aggregate value, an important characteristic in increasingly demanding markets. “Veste Rio is excellent, because it gathers important brands that make it worth while coming here,” she said. Attending Veste Rio for the first time, purchaser Ana Maria Noble also commented that: “I feel I have been very well informed on the event and on participating brands, and hope I’ll place more orders and take a little bit of Brazil to Uruguay”.
Also from Uruguay, journalist Yelly Rodríguez, from newspaper El País, claimed she will return to her country with knowledge on the most important brands in this strong sector and gave her impression on Brazilian fashion: “it has its own identity and personality”. Opinion maker Maite Atela, from magazine Global Fashion (Portugal and Spain), completed the team of international journalists.
Overall, 23 brands affiliated to Texbrasil and Fashion Label Brasil took part in Veste Rio: CCM, Maria Pavan, Handred, Lucidez, Dudalina, Patricia Bonaldi, PatBo, Apartamento 03, Lucas Magalhães, Salt Sun Bikinis, Nannacay, Lenny Niemeyer, Kora Swim, Vix, Uma, Mos, Paula Ferber, Olympiah, J.
