On November 14 and 15, Vicunha Textil attended the 10th anniversary edition of Denim Premiere Vision, an event focused on denim held twice yearly in the city of Paris (France). The indigo and denim manufacturer relied on support from Texbrasil (the Brazilian Textile and Fashion Industry Internationalization Program), the result of a partnership between Abit and the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil).

“Vicunha is already an established company in the international market, with customers at major European brands, and at this edition we received visits from many of them. In addition to the Europeans, Latin Americans also came to see our stand and we had the chance to close some great deals with them,” says Anna Maria Kuntz, the company’s Executive Commercial Director.

The brand showed recent launches in the market with the latest technology and innovation. Among the highlights for international customers were items aimed at the women’s segment, with a special touch resulting from a fiber mix, high stretch and recovery and the High Recovery System, found in various fabrics in the Perfect Fit line, which provides the comfort and high performance the market demands.

“Vicunha has also really been developing sustainability, especially in Europe, and our recently expanded Eco Recycle line, based on the zero-waste concept, is in line with Vicunha’s commitment to find means to make the industry greener and greener,” says the Director. The producer set up a “jeans garden” at its stand to reinforce this positioning, which was a hit and was featured on the cover of Sportswear International magazine.

Around 2,000 visitors discovered launches for the S/S ’19 season during Denim Premiere Vision, from 80 exhibitors of fabrics, laundries, chemical products and accessories geared towards the jeanswear segment. The next edition of the event is already scheduled for May 23 and 24, 2018.
