Coltex, Kalimo and Savyon  were in New York, in the USA, on January 16 and 17 to take part in the S/S edition of Premiere Vision NY. The brands were representing Brazil at the American version of the traditional event with the support of Texbrasil (Brazilian Textile and Fashion Industry Internationalization Program), a partnership between Abit and Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency).

The companies did USD 93,000 in sales during the event, which gathered 300 exhibitors from around the world. Prospective business for the next 12 months is even better: USD 1.7 million for the industry.

According to Marcia Kammholz, who is in charge of the foreign trade department at Coltex, the show’s final figures were so positive that the company intends to participate in the next show, which will take place in July. “The event was excellent. We welcomed customers from Canada, Italy, Mexico and every corner of the United States. It was also a great opportunity to network and we had various orders and made contacts to send samples,” says Marcia.

Klecius Janduci, Export Manager at Savyon, said that the company’s products were a hit at the show. He added that a diverse public visited the stand, with companies from the USA, Mexico and Canada, creating excellent business outlooks.
