International buyers are in Sao Paulo for Inspiramais event and to visit Brazilian companies

Three international buyers are coming to the city of Sao Paulo from January 14 to 17 to fulfill a business agenda. Maria Clara Suescun, of Colombia, representatives from the Agua Bendita apparel factories and Narciza Victoria Huerta and Jimmy Moreno Hurta, of Mundo Moda in Peru, were invited by the team at Texbrasil (Brazilian Textile and Fashion Industry Internationalization Program) – held through a partnership between Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency) and Abit (Brazilian Textile and Apparel Industry Association) – to participate in meetings with Brazilian weaving mills, such as Dalutex and Lunelli, and to check out the Inspiramais show, focused on innovation in materials.

Agua Bendita makes beach, resort and fitness wear products and has been worn by celebrities like American model Kendall Jenner. The company makes high added-value pieces and has 25 stores in Colombia, in addition to an online store that delivers internationally. Peru’s Mundo Moda has been in the market for 15 years. The company does private label apparel for major brands, focusing on 100% cotton items.

“We have high expectations, since this agenda was tailored to these buyers. Furthermore, the Inspiramais event will also open up more business opportunities, for the Texbrasil companies exhibiting and for the international guests,” says Lilian Kaddissi, the Program’s Executive Manager.

Twice a year, the show features the biggest trends for the next season for the entire fashion production chain. The theme for this edition is Marketing: Digital Age, looking at the virtual world trend, with some talks on the topic. The guests are visiting the Innovativ, Berlan, Sancris and Britannia companies, all Texbrasil members, during the event.

They are also looking at new creations from print studios participating in the + Estampa (+ Print) project – a partnership between the Program and Assintecal. The project uses a qualification workshop to spur creation of prints with references to Brazilian culture. All of the studios confirmed for the + Estampa space are Texbrasil members, including Estudio Capim, Estudio Icertain, Oficina Lamparina, Studio Aurum Brasil, Nomad, Adriana Boulos, Traco Ousado and Bloom Print.
