Adriana Degreas launches collab with US-based Cult Gaia
Adriana Degreas, a member of Texbrasil (Brazilian Textile and Fashion Industry Internationalization Program) – held through a partnership between Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency) and Abit (Brazilian Textile and Apparel Industry Association) – is launching a capsule collection with Cult Gaia, an accessories brand out of California.
Creations include kimonos, swimsuits and bikinis in foliage and tropical animal prints in tones of green, orange and pink: a true mix of references pollinating the West Coast with Brazil. Items also feature details in bamboo, in homage to the famous Cult Gaia bags beloved by fashionistas.
The collaboration is part of the internationalization strategy at Adriana Degreas, which includes partnerships with major international labels. The project began last year with a collection between Degreas and Charlotte Olympia of England and will move into its third phase in the second half of this year.
According to Adriana Degreas, the main idea of the strategy is to spotlight brands involved in an innovative and lucrative way. “We are doing collabs with brands with which we have synergy and that are able to add something, allowing us to reach the foreign market. We always partner with designers that have a strong DNA, so collections come in an interesting mix,” the designer explains.
The collection is on sale now online at Matches Fashion and at the Cult Gaia and Adriana Degreas online stores.
