Castanhal
With more than 50 years of activities, Castanhal – the largest producer of yarns, fabrics and bags with jute fiber in the country – has its factory based in the city of Castanhal (PA), where the fiber is processed. Castanhal is the only national manufacturer to serve the coffee sector and, in recent years, with the growing appreciation of sustainable materials by the contemporary consumer, it has been carrying out a transversal work with other companies and designers to expand the use of jute in other segments such as clothing, footwear, accessories, handicrafts, decoration, furniture, civil construction and gardening, among others.
