Texneo innovates and uses meshes with bioamide
Texneo, a member of Texbrasil (Brazilian Textile and Fashion Industry Internationalization Program) — the result of a partnership between Abit (Brazilian Textile and Apparel Industry Association) and ApexBrasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency), is one of the main Brazilian producers of knitwear in rolls for the sportwear, beachwear and underwear segments, and is a pioneer in the use of bioamide fiber in the country, made from corn.
The bioamide yarn, which makes up TexneoGreen, is considered an innovative product for the fashion market because it is a renewable source, produced from genetically modified corn plant biomass to meet industrial use, not competing with that used for food. It appears in the new Sense Green product, which, in addition to the benefits for the environment, also offers a softer, smoother touch and a feeling of freshness that brings more comfort during use.
The concept reaffirms the company’s commitment to the environment and to a more sustainable industrial operation through the adoption of ecological and conscious measures and practices to contribute to the preservation of nature. “Our premise is the constant search for innovation, growth and expansion to other markets. The result of these efforts is translated into lightweight, technological and stylish knits”, says Ricardo Axt, CEO of Texneo.
“Among all the actions designed and carried out by our teams, the concept of sustainability and concern for impacts on the environment are part of Texneo’s atmosphere. Therefore, we are happy to be pioneers in the use of bioamide in Brazil and we are going to expand even more other actions in this sense”, concludes Axt.
