Brazilian brands generate more than US$1.4 million in business during Coterie and Magic

Coterie and Magic took place last February, in New York, with Brazilian brands able to expand their business in the international market and establish new contacts. 24 companies were present with the support of Texbrasil (The Brazilian Textile and Fashion Industry Internationalization Program), the result of the partnership between ApexBrasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency) and Abit (the Brazilian Textile and Apparel Industry Association).

The Brazilian delegation managed to generate a total of US$1.47 million in business during the trade, with an expectation of US$6.9 million in return over the next 12 months, more than the double of February 2023 edition, which generated US$ $3 million. In addition, the companies obtained 744 new contacts from international buyers.

Érica Alves brand was one of those present at the trade with the support of Abit and ApexBrasil. Carine Aguiar, foreign trade manager, celebrated the debut at the event. “We participated for the first time and we were happy with the results, we managed a considerable number of contacts”, she highlighted.

Mariana Pavan, designer at the company Maria Pavan, reported a considerable improvement compared to the last edition. “The trade was excellent! We got 30 new customers in the United States and sales increased exponentially, 100% more than last year”.

Nádia Gimenes, international manager of the Nádia Gimenes brand, valued Texbrasil’s support: “The support is essential for us when participating in events.”

The executive also adds that the trade had an excellent flow of buyers. “We had the opportunity to connect with new customers and also welcome those who already place orders with the brand.”

For Lilian Kaddissi, executive superintendent of Projects at Abit, this edition of Coterie and Magic showed that the trade in New York is consolidating itself as an important business platform for national companies. “Brazilian fashion showed, once again, its influence on the international market. Texbrasil companies established more than 700 contacts, enabling entrepreneurs to expand their business opportunities not only during the events, but also in the following years”, she assures.
