Der Metropol shows special collection at Colombiatex

Designer Mario Francisco’s Der Metropol label showed its special collection for the 2015 edition of Colombiatex yesterday (Jan. 27). With a mission to create thirteen looks, each made using materials by the Brazilian brands exhibiting at the show, the designer brought together his know-how in pattern-making and menswear – his strengths – to make a collection that was moreover notable for being Mario’s foray into womenswear.

Britannia, Canatiba, Cataguases, Cedro, Covolan, Farbe, Delfa, Digitale Textil, Rosset, Santanense, Tavex, Vicunha and Zanotti are the member companies of Texbrasil (Brazilian Fashion Industry Internationalization Program, developed by Abit in partnership with Apex-Brasil) that provided materials for the fashion show. Among the most remarkable looks are a floral sweatshirt with tailored trousers from Santanense, overlapping Vicunha skirts and a woven tank top from Britannia.
