Coterie 2025: Brazilian companies make over 1,200 contacts
Between September 14th and 16th, Brazil was represented by 41 brands at Coterie New York 2025, one of the leading women’s fashion and accessories trade shows in the United States. Participation was made possible by Texbrasil (Brazilian Textile and Fashion Industry Internationalization Program), a partnership between Abit (Brazilian Textile and Apparel Industry Association) and ApexBrasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency). It marked a historic milestone: it was the largest Brazilian delegation ever at the trade show and the third-largest international delegation at the event, reinforcing the presence and relevance of Brazilian fashion on the global stage.
The Brazilian delegation achieved US$ 1.7 million in immediate business and an expected US$ 4.1 million in sales over the next 12 months. In total, 1,238 new contacts were made with international buyers, expanding opportunities for Brazilian brands in the North American market.
“Even with tariffs directly impacting the industry, we remain committed to strengthening Brazilian fashion in the United States. We have been taking part in Coterie for 20 years and we know that it is an ongoing effort to build and consolidate the market, which is already yielding important results for companies“, emphasizes Lilian Kaddissi, Marketing and Business Superintendent at Abit.
For the first time, the trade show also featured a matchmaking initiative, which brought national and international buyers to exclusive meetings with selected Brazilian companies within the trade show itself. In a reserved space, buyers met with the brands at pre-scheduled times, allowing each participant to present their collections for 15 to 20 minutes.
