Texbrasil holds showroom circuit with international buyers
This Monday (May 26), Texbrasil (Brazilian Fashion Industry Internationalization Program, developed by Abit in partnership with Apex-Brasil) held a showroom at Abit headquarters, in Sao Paulo, with a select group of international buyers. The initiative is part of the Sao Paulo Showrooms Circuit, which will take those invited to network and enter into partnerships with Brazilian labels through Thursday, the 29th.
Thirteen brands from among renowned labels and up and coming designers in Texbrasil’s BtoBe talent incubator showed their collections to the foreigners: Patricia Motta, Colcci, Totem, PatBo and Patricia Bonaldi, Blue Man, Adriana Degreas, Lisa Riedt, Aua, Janiero, Reptilia, Trendt, Gralias, and Gabriela Sakate. Business and contacts were made with business representatives from Harvey Nichols, of Germany and China; Rocket Internet, of France; Ulf Haines, of Kuwait; Farenah, of Bulgaria; Just One Eye, of the United States; and Baycrews, of Japan. After the visit, the group went to other showroom spaces.
Gabriela Sakate, one of the young designers in BtoBe, had already taken part in other showrooms with her brand and was able to form a partnership with Luisa Via Roma, of Italy, and Seibu, of Japan. For her, the biggest return on her participations, in addition to sales, is visibility: “It’s always great to participate. Even if I don’t get new partnerships, the exposure already ensures lots of visibility. Today, for instance, I talked with some people from France, since Europe is my target market,” explains Sakate.
