Latin buyers visit Fevest at the invitation of Texbrasil
Two Peruvian buyers visited Fevest – Feira Brasileira de Moda Íntima, Praia, Fitness e Matéria-Prima (Brazilian Underwear, Beachwear, Fitnesswear and Raw Materials Trade Show ) as guests of Texbrasil (Brazilian Fashion Industry Export Program), a Program developed byAbit in partnership with Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency). Representatives of the Cibella Lenceria underwear label and the Guillermo Valdizan Flores store were at the trade show, which started last Sunday (August 4) and ends tomorrow (August 6) in Nova Friburgo – RJ. Texbrasil invited them to Fevest in an effort to strengthen relations with Brazilian companies and promote new business in the sector.
There are around 90 exhibitors at the trade show’s Country Clube, occupying a total area of 12,000m². A public of 8,500 is expected to attend, 20% more than last year. The trade show schedule includes everything from fashion shows and stand exhibits to talks by major names on the Brazilian scene. At this edition, a talk given by Hans Donner, a designer for Rede Globo, on brand building and the Rede Globo case study drew a large audience.
The event also included an opening speech by Texbrasil’s COO, Frederico Bernardo. In his speech, he explained more about the Program and discussed the importance of Nova Friburgo made apparel to the industry: “Production in the region accounts for 25% of domestic production in this very important segment. This is the result of the effort and determination of the local business community, which is why we are happy to say that Texbrasil supports companies here,” he added.
Fevest saw business volume for the entire production chain in the whole region at the last edition of the trade show of around BRL 36 million, which accounts for 20% more value than the previous year.
