Learn what’s new for Premiere Brasil’s Summer 2014 Collection
Around 130 exhibitors from 17 countries presented their proposals for the S/S 2014 Collection in the 7th edition of Premiere Brasil that happened between 22 and 23 January, at Expo Center Norte in Sao Paulo. Visitors numbered about 7,500 professionals from the textile industry and journalists. In addition to the releases, the trade organizers announced the alignment of the Premiere Vision Group branding, with the appropriateness of the name of the event to Premiere Vision/Sao Paulo, so the fashion salon will now follow the brand’s standard in the same way that occurs in the cities of Paris, Moscow, New York and Shanghai. At the time, the space Sport & Beach was opened, targeted at segments of swimwear and water sports, with high performance fabrics. The exchange of the direction of the event was also held; Guglielmo Olearo took over in place of Jacques Brunel.
The participants exhibiting in the event presented their trends and technological innovations for the season. Farbe, from Santa Catarina, bet on a sporty fashion line, with textiles that included polyamide, polyester, viscose and cotton. For Claudia Mara Kruk Vier, supervisor of the Product and Market of the company, Premiere Vision is very important for winning new customers: “The professionals who visit us are already our customers. However, here we have the opportunity to spread our collections for different markets”.
Inspired by tropical themes, Cedro Textil took pieces from different jeanswear eras; the brand’s stylist, Eduardo Paixao, was responsible for the creation of realistic prints with light and worn treatments, besides resin finishes with mergers and washes aspects. He said that “The main feature of this release is the super stretch effect, with more shiny and resistant yarns. These items are also sustainable, being manufactured with threads made from plastic bottles”.
Haco, a manufacturer of tags and labels, decided to innovate and led to Premiere its first line of finished product to retail composed of shoelace belts. The company is a pioneer in Brazil working with this type of product. According to the industry, the expectation is that in a period of 12 months, shoelace belts will represent 4% of revenue.
The innovations for A/W 2014 will be presented in the next edition of the event, to be held under the brand Premiere Vision/Sao Paulo. The salon will take place on 10 and 11 July 2013.
