Curve Expo: show generates great business for Brazilian brands
From February 26 to 28, the Marie M Lingerie and 2Rios Lingerie brands took part in Curve Expo , in New York City, in the USA. The Brazilian companies were at the underwear event with the support of Texbrasil – the Brazilian Textile and Fashion Industry Internationalization Program, the result of a partnership between Abit and Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency).
In addition to making contacts with countries such as the USA, Canada, Chile and Guatemala, the companies are expecting sales of USD 148,000 over the next 12 months. This the fifth show for 2Rios. According to Matheus Fagundes, the brand’s President, the company made quality contacts with Americans and Canadians, especially in the online market, which he says is the fastest growing market in the region.
He also commented that the most important stage of negotiations has yet to start: “after the show is when we do the most business. So right now we’re at a delicate stage, when we follow-up with these contacts, separate samples and make sure to pass along all of the right information to buyers.”
The next edition of Curve Expo will be held in August, in Las Vegas, in the USA.
