Another label has joined Texbrasil (Brazilian Fashion Industry Export Program), a Program developed by Abit in partnership with Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency): Andrea Marques has come on board and should begin initial activities within this year. One goal is to expand the label’s market to facilitate international visibility. The company is part of Texbrasil Design, a group that joins Brazilian labels with premium products and positioning, with the goal of promoting business and image in the global market. According to the manager of the Program’s fashion and design center, Evilásio Miranda, initiatives are already in the works that are a fit for the label’s profile, such as a showroom in the United States. “This is a market that is very receptive to Andrea Marques, especially because of the label’s work with exclusive prints,” says Miranda.

According to the designer, being part of Texbrasil Design is in line with the label’s current situation: “driven by all of the great reactions from our latest collections and with the major success of the recent capsule collection for the C&A chain, launched in August 2012, the label is continuing its project of expansion by starting exports. We are also taking part in the ‘Le Brésil Rive Gauche’ event, with a summer 2013 collection at traditional Parisian department store Le Bon Marché,” she added.
