07/23/2014

The Royal Tulip hotel, in Rio de Janeiro, will host the S/S edition of Salao Bossa Nova, from July 29 to 31. The business event gathers Brazilian fashion companies from various segments to show their collections with the goal of increasing the brand’s competitiveness in the national and international markets. That is why it relies on the support and help of Texbrasil (Brazilian Fashion Industry Internationalization Program, developed by Abit in partnership with Apex -Brasil), which will bring a group of ten international buyers to the event.

Labels that are Program members, such as Alessa, Victor Dzenk, Blue Man, CCM and Lucidez, will have products on display for the over 25,000 visitors. The international group includes the Lunas Intimo (Italy), Fio D’Agua (Portugal), Maria de Sol Bikinis y Fitness (Uruguay), Vila Baboushka (Egypt) and Lemonaki (Chile) stores, among others.

For Andrea Bakulic, one of the owners of the Lemonaki store of Chile, which only sells Brazilian beachwear labels, Brazilian fashion is notable for its creative prints and choice of colors in each collection. “The quality of materials and the design of the items are a few of the factors that facilitate acceptance of Brazilian products abroad,” she says.

At the previous edition, buyers did over USD 310,000 in business with the expectation of an additional USD 800,000.
