Brazilian beachwear and fitnesswear brands are in California
In August, the city of Huntington Beach, in the U.S.A., is welcoming Brazilian beachwear and fitnesswear brands to take part in two major industry trade shows, Swim Collective, being held on August 8 and 9, and Active Collective, on August 11 and 12. With the support of Texbrasil, the Brazilian Fashion Industry Internationalization Program, the result of a partnership between Abit and Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency), the Swim Collective event will include the Despi, Guria Beachwear, Mare Blu, Sauipe Swimwear, Lybethras and Sol & Energia brands.
This is the third time at the show for Rio Grande do Sul-based Guria Beachwear, which hopes to find new customers and strengthen ties with current ones. “We see our presence in the market on the American west coast growing year by year. It is extremely important for American buyers to feel that the brand is up-to-date and committed to the market, offering compatible prices and making local delivery possible,” says the company’s managing partner, Camila Ckless.
While the Cajubrasil, Vestem and Bia Brazil brands, which are also Texbrasil members, will be at the Active Collective show. “Having exported to the United States for 20 years and with a showroom in Miami, Bia Brazil sees the show as having huge potential for further publicizing the brand and gaining a new consumer public in the country,” says Beatriz Dockhor, the director of the brand.
