Brazilian Beachwear Strengthens International Presence at SwimShow Miami with Support from Texbrasil
The Brazilian presence at SwimShow Miami — one of the most traditional beachwear trade shows — has reinforced its strength in the international market
This year, Brazil was represented by 19 brands at the event, which received institutional support from Texbrasil — an increase that made the group nearly five times larger compared to the previous edition. The initiative was promoted by Texbrasil (Brazilian Textile and Fashion Industry Internationalization Program), a partnership between Abit (Brazilian Textile and Apparel Industry Association) and ApexBrasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency).
The event brought together buyers, opinion makers and industry professionals from more than 60 countries. In addition, the calendar change — adopted for the second consecutive year — has proven effective in aligning collection production and delivery schedules with the purchasing calendars of important markets such as the Caribbean and the United States, thereby optimizing delivery times for the cruise season.
Generation of business opportunities and qualified contacts at SwimShow Miami
Held between May 31 and June 2 at the Miami Beach Convention Center, SwimShow Miami brought together international professionals from the beachwear industry and generated significant results for Brazilian brands. During the event, USD 320,500.00 in immediate business deals was recorded, and there is an expectation of approximately USD 1,400,000.00 over the next 12 months.
The companies also established 493 new business contacts. As a result, they expanded their international networks and strengthened export opportunities in the beachwear segment.
According to a survey conducted with the Brazilian exhibitors, 40% of the brands exceeded their business expectations during the trade show. The respondents mainly highlighted the high qualification of the international buyers present at the event.
In addition, approximately 50% of the group expressed interest in taking part again in the next edition. This positive feedback reinforces the potential of the trade show to expand the global presence of Brazilian fashion. The 2025 delegation also had the support of Sebrae in Rio de Janeiro and Rio Grande do Norte.
Maturity and strategic preparation of brands
For Lilian Kaddissi, Marketing and Business Superintendent at Texbrasil, the group’s performance reinforces the progress of Brazilian brands toward the international market:
“In addition to the immediate commercial results, the trade show provided a valuable environment for building relationships and strengthening Brazil’s image as a creative and competitive hub.”
In addition to support at trade shows, Texbrasil offers training and qualification, commercial guidance, market intelligence and technical support. With this set of initiatives, it prepares Brazilian companies to operate consistently and competitively in the global market. To learn more about SwimShow, contact our team via
