Brazilian brands are a hit at Swim Collective show
From August 13 to 14, eighteen Brazilian brands took part in Swim Collective, the traditional beachwear show that takes place twice a year in Huntington Beach, California. Texbrasil, the Brazilian Fashion Industry Internationalization Program, developed by Abit in partnership with Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency), brought seven brands to the event: Bikiny Society, Blue Man, Desiree Nercessian, Despi, Guria Beachwear, Sauipe and Sweetcacau. Eleven member brands attended through ABEST’s Brazilian fashion export program, Fashion Label Brasil: Agua de Coco by Liana Thomaz, AMU, Bloom, Lenny Niemeyer, Lili Sampedro, Mos Beachwear, Salinas, Sinesia Karol, SUB Beachwear, Triya and VixPaulaHermanny. The eighteen companies did a total of USD 730,000 in business.
This is the second time that Camila Ckless’s Guria Beachwear brand has attended the event. And the expectations for the future are good. “We made many contacts at the show and we’re expecting to finalize orders with at least seven customers. We already knew many of the buyers and they know that we are committed to the market on the West Coast. I think that the Swim Collective show is the biggest in the segment and we plan to continue participating in upcoming editions,” she said in closing.
The next edition of the show is scheduled for February 2016.
