Brazilian brands take part in Who’s Next, Première Classe and Bijorhca shows in Paris
A group of nine Brazilian brands is headed to Paris to take part in fashion shows taking place in January at Porte de Versailles. Arteria, Catarina Mina, Cecilia Prado, Gilda Lacerda, Gissa Bicalho, Maria Sanz and Vert will be attending Who’s Next and Premiere Classe from January 19 to 22.
Artist Gilda Lacerda, a member of Texbrasil (Brazilian Textile and Fashion Industry Internationalization Program), a partnership between Abit and Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency), will be a highlight at the event, showcasing her prints at Who’s Next.
This is the first time at the show for Catarina Mina and the brand is looking to learn more about the international market. “We hope to make a lot of contacts, gather knowledge on potential markets and mature processes and the brand’s presence in internationalization,” says Celina Hissa, the brand’s Creative Director and founder. The Ceara-based label currently exports to the USA, Trinidad and Tobago, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, England, Portugal and Japan.
Arteria, a sustainable bags and accessories brand, will also be at Who’s Next for the first time. According to designer Elene Veguin, the show offers the chance to grow Arteria’s international market share, especially in Europe and Asia, through B2B sales.
Maria Dolores Design and Trois Design will also be in the same space, showing their collections at Bijorhca, a show dedicated to costume jewelry, jewelry, watches and accessories.
The brands are participating with the support of the Abit and Abest internationalization programs, respectively Texbrasil (Brazilian Textile and Fashion Industry Internationalization Program) and Fashion Label Brasil, both carried out in partnership with Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency).
