Brazilian companies attend fashion event in Indonesia
Abit, through Texbrasil (Brazilian Textile and Fashion Industry Internationalization Program), Assintecal, through By Brasil Components and Chemicals, and CICB, through Brazilian Leather, in partnership with the Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency) and the Brazilian Embassy in Jakarta, promote the participation of Brazilian companies in an exhibition at Fashionlink, held from 23 to 27 October in the Indonesian capital.
The event takes place in parallel to Jakarta Fashion Week, a major fashion fair in which brands, resellers, stylists and representatives of local and foreign governments present their projects, commercially or fostering the creation and prospecting of new talents.
The textile and clothing sector will be represented by projects such as the + Estampa, which gathers twelve design studios. They are: Brand Têxtil, Dash Studio, Digitale Têxtil, Estúdio Capim, Estúdio Graphique, Estúdio ICertain, Coletivo Estampa, Oficia Lamparina, TexTrend, Stampa Studio, Studio Aurum, and Studio Soul. Each studio created a unique print for the 2019 Summer season, which will be presented at the event and whose work was coordinated by Lucius Vilar, Assintecal design consultant.
There will also be the Preview do Couro (Leather Preview) project, gathering Brazilian special hides and presenting the full potential in quality and creativity of the country’s leather industry, with anticipation of trends and innovation. Another special exhibition is the Brazilian References Project, which portrays Brazilian culture through historical and iconographic research decoded into materials and products.
All the projects serve as inspiration for the creation of a Brazilian fashion identity, and were carried out through research carried out by Abit, Assintecal and CICB.
The exhibition will be composed of materials – fabrics, leathers, soles, buckles – and prototypes presenting their applications in the final product.
