Brazilian companies celebrate good business at Premiere Vision NY
The year started off great for five Brazilian companies that took part in PV New York, the North American edition of the traditional Premiere Vision show, considered one of the most important international events for textile industry trends. With the support of Texbrasil – the Brazilian Textile and Fashion Industry Internationalization Program, developed by Abit in partnership with Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency) – the Adriana Boulos, Elaiá, Kalimo, Savyon and Estúdio Prius brands generated business totaling USD 78,000 during the event, with USD 1.5 million in sales expected over the next 12 months.
For Adriana Boulos, taking part in the show offered the studio excellent international experience: “we loved taking part in Premiere Vision NYC – it was a very gratifying experience, we exchanged a lot of contacts and we found out about a different market from our own,” says the designer. While Santa Catarina-based studio Elaia, which already has a business unit in New York City, where the company does integral work all year long, introduced its new collections to the public at the show. “The event created new opportunities as well, opening up 20 new clients in the North American market,” says Bruno Hansen, the print studio’s Director.
Results were also pleasing for jacquard manufacturer Savyon, according to its Director, Renato Bitter: “our collection was very well received and we many of our customers attended, in addition to potential buyers.” Premiere Vision New York presents the main trends for the S/S ’18 season, gathering around 360 international exhibitors during January 17 and 18. The next edition of the event is scheduled for July 18, 2017.
