Brazilian companies estimate sales of USD 700,000 as a result of the Première Vision NY

02/19/2020

In January the first edition of the Première Vision NY was held, counting with the presence of two Brazilian companies. The companies Savyon and Berlan from São Paulo, took their brands to the event with the support of the Texbrasil (Program for Internationalization of the Brazilian Textile and Fashion Industries), a result from the partnership between Apex-Brazil (Brazilian Agency for Promotion of Exportation and Investments) and Abit (Brazilian Association of Textile and Apparel Industry).

With only two days in the event, both companies engaged in more than 90 contacts with buyers from countries such as United States, Canada, England and Mexico, and they sold US$ 250,000. The textile companies, also, intend to revert the contacts into US$ 700,000 within the next months.

With two editions per year in NY and two in Paris, the Première Vision is one of the main international events addressed to the textile sector, focusing on fabrics, yarns, fibers, textile design, and accessories. This month it took place also the edition in Paris, counting on the presence of 10 Brazilian companies.

In 2020, Première NY changed address, which was celebrated by the companies. According to Stella Wan Dick, Sales exportation and administrative coordinator at the Malharia Berlan, the new destination attracted even more visitors to the Première Vision.

For the executive manager of Texbrasil, Lilian Kaddissi, United States is seen as a huge potential market for the companies attending the event. “The constant reduction in the unemployment rate and the increase in the average income stimulate North-American growth. Even in a very competitive market, they represent a universe of possibilities for Savyon and Berlan”, she affirms.
