Brazilian companies have a good showing at Curve NY

Last week, New York City was the stage of yet another successful international fashion show. Curve NY, known for gather major beachwear and underwear brands, was attended by 2,700 buyers from August 2 to 4, in addition to providing for 800 meetings between brands and retailers.

Two Brazilian companies took part in the show with the support of Texbrasil, the Brazilian Fashion Industry Internationalization Program, developed by Abit in partnership with Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency): Sweetcacau and 2 Rios. Together, they expect to do USD 500,000 in business over the next twelve months.

This is the fourth time that 2Rios has taken part in the event and according to the company’s president, Matheus Fagundes, this continuity helped in negotiations with various clients. “We had an excellent return on the collection at the show, with some sales to the United States and Europe, in addition to starting an exclusive development project for a client in New York,” he says. “This was another step in the process of internationalizing 2Rios, relying on support from Texbrasil and Apex-Brasil on this journey to bring Brazilian fashion to the world,” says Fagundes in closing.
