Brazilian fashion is a notable presence at the Vendome and Tranoi shows in France
The traditional Vendome Luxury and Tranoi shows are being held September 30 to October 3 in Paris and are being attended by a group of seven Brazilian brands that are members of Texbrasil, the Brazilian Fashion Industry Internationalization Program, the result of a partnership between Abit and Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency). The events take place in parallel with Paris Fashion Week, welcoming exhibitors, visitors and buyers from accross the globe who are interested in trends and in establishing contacts with international companies.
This is the fourth time in a row that Anamaria Couture has taken part in famed luxury show Vendome, where it is presenting its S/S ’17 collection. In addition to prospecting new partners, the company plans to meet with established customers in order to intensify construction of the brand on the international market. “Our biggest expectations is to meet with representatives and buyers from large and small retailers from around the world and make them our customers,” says Catia Macedo, who is responsible for exports.
While the Helorocha, Iara Wisnik,Japonique+Comas, Patricia Bonaldi, PatBo and Vitor Zerbinato brands are taking part in Tranoi – a commercial event and platform for launching new designers into the international market in the womenswear, jewelry and other accessories segments. This is the first time at an international event for Vitor Zerbinato and the brand hopes to build ties with customers and gauge public acceptance. “We want to therefore develop a consistent export plan and an assertive sales strategy,” says Andrea Sanchez, the company’s commercial manager.
Japonique+Comas, a brand specializing in hafu kimonos made using upcycling techniques, which is the result of a partnership between the companies of designers Jana Tahira and Agustina Comas, respectively, is also attending its first international event. “We are going ready to show our product and concept and are open to whatever may happen. Regarding both business and prospecting,” says Agustina. The pair is bringing a co-branding line of kimonos made using fabrics made from apparel industry waste to the show. “We are super excited. This support that the Texbrasil Program gives to new brands is so important,” says the entrepreneur.
