Brazilian kidswear companies participate in Pitti Bimbo

Recognized as one of the largest international shows geared towards kids, the S/S 2016 edition of Pitti Bimbo is taking place June 25 to 27 in Florence, Italy. Texbrasil, the Brazilian Fashion Industry Internationalization Program, developed by Abit and Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency) is supporting six Brazilian brands at the event: Cristina Malhas, L’Ete, Lili Bag, Mini Us, Pacoca and Viva Flor.

With over 430 exhibitors and around 5700 international buyers expected to attend, the show has consolidated its place as one of the best places for anyone that wants to do good business in this area. At the previous edition alone, the event drew 10,000 visitors from different countries.

This is the first international show for Tico Sahyoun, of Mini Us. He thinks that being near international references in the segment is very important for the brand. “We’ve always dreamed of internationalizing Mini Us, which is why we are bringing special products to the show. The Free line, made entirely of Santa Constancia biodegradable fabrics that decompose within three years and can even become compost, is a major highlight,” he explains.

Sheyla Rocha, of Lili Bag, is taking part in the event for the fifth time. She wants to increase the company’s range of customers to countries beyond Italy at this edition. “I have a line of thermal bags and purses for babies and another of thermal backpacks for kids. The backpacks are a hit in terms of sales, since they have hand-embroidered leather with Brazilian animal motifs,” she adds.
