On November 9 and 10, BtoBe brands held their first showroom focused on Brazilian wholesale. After travelling the world, from Lisbon to Tokyo, Helen Rodel, Iara Wisnik, Karin Feller, Också and Reptilia, all members of the Texbrasil project, plus guest brand Maio, will be together at the Abit (Brazilian Textile and Apparel Industry Association) House with the purpose of presenting their collections to Brazil’s multibrand stores.

Brazilians To Be – BtoBe – is a pioneering project in the discovery and incubation of fashion brands. It is aimed at encouraging new talent in Brazilian fashion to develop their business within a global perspective. The result of a partnership between Texbrasil and Casa de Criadores (House of Creators), the project began as a contest between schools in 2009 and grew to become an incubator for new fashion businesses in 2012.

Internationally, Helen Rodel has already sold item’s to Italy’s Luisaviaroma and US-based Moda Operandi. Iara Wisnik, in turn, has just returned from the Tranoi Show in Paris. Pieces by Karin Feller have been on the racks at the Sogo & Seibu department store in Japan, just to name a few successes.
