Brazil’s Olympic equestrian team wore Moovexx during the Rio 2016 Olympics

08/22/2016

The Brazilian Olympic equestrian team at the Rio 2016 Olympics was equipped with one of the best textile technologies: moovexx, a system developed and patented by Kanzo, a member of Texbrasil, the Brazilian Fashion Industry Internationalization Program, the result of a partnership between Abit and Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency).

With its original construction using an invisible elastic waistband that guarantees flexibility at the waist, moving with the body at all times and therefore facilitating the movement of athletes, moovexx technologies were used in the uniforms worn by Brazil’s Olympic equestrian team (trousers and belt) while presenting their horses during the competition in the so-called veterinary exam.

The new moovexx waistband technology was tested by approximately 300,000 consumers and has been approved by major players in Brazil’s fashion industry. At the international level, it was received a prize at the ITMA Future Material Awards 2015 in the “Best Innovation – Textile Solutions for Clothing” category.
