Canatiba innovates and develops denim digital printing
The Brazilian textile brand Canatiba has announced a groundbreaking release. The company, which is part of Texbrasil (Brazilian Textile and Fashion Industry Internationalization Program) – the result of a partnership between Abit (Brazilian Textile and Apparel Industry Association) and Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Export and Investment Promotion Agency) – has developed a technology that allows digital printing in denim.
Previously used only in other textile products, digital printing now can be applied onto the brand’s denim, offering a number of possibilities of stamps and colors.
According to the company, with this technology it will be possible that agencies and brands develop exclusive stamps for their collections, starting from 100 meters of denim.
With that in mind, Canatiba is also releasing its own stamps with camouflaged patterns, checkerboard, dobby (tie-dots), animal printing, florals, and sky drawings.
Sustainable release
In addition to stamps innovation, the company also keeps revolutionizing in terms of sustainability. The company releases, including the Elastopol line, with the use of polyester threads, will have the Rice Eko finishing.
This is an oil extracted from rice hulls, traditionally used in the cosmetics market, which reuses waste that would be disposed of in landfills.
