Casamoda Showroom welcomes Texbrasil brands

01/19/2015

From January 20 to 23, the iconic Hotel Unique in Sao Paulo will host the Casamoda Showroom, an event gathering Brazilian labels and drawing national and international buyers. Known for following the seasons of the year and with five editions – spring, summer, high summer, fall and winter – the showroom will include participation by three member brands of Texbrasil (Brazilian Fashion Industry Internationalization Program, developed by Abit in partnership with Apex-Brasil): Cynthia Hayashi, Gloria Coelho and Pedro Lourenco.

Cynthia Hayashi is a participant of BtoBe, Texbrasil’s talent incubator, and is showing her F/W 2015 collection, inspired by the concept of modernity x nature, with items notable for their use of floral mixed with geometric prints, a mix of fabrics, handcrafting techniques and a focus on sustainability.

Gloria Coelho went with the idea of a metamorphosis of structures and new shapes for the feminine wardrobe in this season, showing items with futuristic touches, acetate crepe, tulle and patent leather fabrics and cold colors like black, off-white, green and ice. Gloria was more than a creator, also serving as the muse to her son, Pedro Lourenco, for F/W 2015. Inspired by the strong woman of the ‘80s, the designer looked back at Gloria’s image and created items using hybrid prints and in materials such as leather, crepe, sequins and silk.
